This course offers employees basic First Aid training enabling them to take charge in an emergency situation
The qualification covers the following topics
- What to do in an emergency
- Cardio pulmonary resuscitation
- The unconscious casualty
- Wounds and bleeding
- Dealing with common medical conditions
- Burns
- Circulatory system
- Respiratory system
Duration – 1 day
Assessment – continuous observation /multiple choice paper

ANNUAL HSE RECOMMENDED HALF DAY REFRESHER
HSE strongly recommends that first-aiders undertake annual refresher training, over half a day, during any three-year FAW/EFAW certification period. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first-aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first-aid procedures.
